The The SoCal SETAC Board of Directors is awarding attendance grants to help undergraduate
and graduate students attend the 2022 SETAC North America Annual Meeting (Nov.13-17) in Pittsburgh, PA. The purpose of the award is to encourage participation of SoCal students at the North America Meeting and to encourage student membership and involvement in our Regional Chapter.

Chemist (GS-7)
U.S. Department of the Interior/USGS/PCMSC/Santa Cruz, California
As a Chemist with the Pacific Coastal & Marine Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:
- Assist with environmental sample preparation, extraction, analysis, and reporting in the PCMSC Organic Geochemistry Lab.
- Perform carbon analyses in the PCMSC Carbon Lab using established coulometric methods.
- Perform grain size analyses in the PCMSC Sediment Lab using established methods for sieving and laser particle counting.
Salary: $54,959 - $71,441 per year
The Vacancy opens 09/12/2022 and closes at midnight on the day that 35 applications are received, or by midnight 09/30/22 (all Eastern Time).
