We are excited to announce that registration is open for the 2022 Annual Meeting for the Southern California Chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SoCal SETAC). Representatives of the Desert Southwest Chapter (DSW) will also be joining us (covering AZ, NM, NV and western TX) and we look forward to welcoming new faces into the SoCal group.
The meeting will be held April 25-26 in Ventura and we are pleased to announce a program with special sessions on A Legacy of Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology in the Southern California Bight, Monday the 25th, and Wildlife Toxicology in Southern California & the Desert Southwest, Tuesday the 26th. In addition to these timely topics, we will have two General Sessions covering a diverse array of material. We cannot wait to connect with new colleagues and catch up with friends in person.
The call for abstracts for platform or poster presentations is now open and will close on April 1st.

Assistant Professor - Chemistry
San Bernardino Valley College
The Assistant Professor, Chemistry position provides instruction to general education students, students who wish to major in chemistry, and students pursuing degrees in other science, math, and engineering disciplines at the community college level. This position would create course materials, such as syllabi, lectures, homework, quizzes, exams, lab manuals, etc. Evaluate and grade students’ homework, laboratory work, and assignments. Demonstrate and explain physical experiments during physical laboratory hours that develop the critical thinking skills of students. Teach courses during evenings and/or weekends if required. Work collegially with the faculty and staff of the division to advance student success. Participate and collaborate in chemistry team, department, and division meetings. Assist in curriculum development, updates, and revisions. The successful candidate will be an equity-minded individual committed to collaborating with faculty, classified staff, administration, students and community partners who are also committed to closing equity gaps.
