Biologist I positions perform professional-level microbiological and biological tests and toxicological analyses and interpretations of potable water, wastewater, ocean and freshwater samples; examine, classify and count aquatic plant and animal specimens; assist in the more difficult microbiological, biological and toxicological analyses; and perform other duties as assigned.
Biologist II positions perform professional, journey-level and more difficult microbiological, biological tests and toxicological analyses and interpretations of potable water, wastewater, ocean and freshwater samples; examine, classify and count aquatic plant and animal specimens; and perform other duties as assigned.

Water Quality Manager
Irvine Ranch Water District
The Irvine Ranch Water District is accepting applications for a Water Quality Manager who under general direction, will plan, organize, oversee and supervise the efficient operation of the Water Quality Group, including complex laboratory water quality analyses, equipment and quality control/quality assurance, regulatory reports, and water quality projects. The incumbent will manage a full-time staff of 20 people as well as temporary employees and interns, water quality analyses include drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, stormwater, biosolids, and air quality.
