2021 Annual Meeting
SoCal SETAC & Desert Southwest SETAC Chapters
Monday April 26 – Wednesday April 28
We are excited to announce the 2021 Virtual Regional Chapter Annual Meeting for the Southern California Chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SoCal SETAC). Representatives of the Desert Southwest Chapter (DSW) will also be joining us (covering AZ, NM, NV and western TX) and we look forward to welcoming new faces into the SoCal group.
The meeting will be held April 26-28 via Zoom and we are pleased to announce a program with special sessions on the Regulation, Occurrence and Risk of PFAS Compounds, Monday 26th, and the Environmental Impacts of Wildfires, Tuesday 27th. In addition to these timely topics, we will have three General Sessions covering a diverse array of material.
In this virtual platform, we have decided that instead of traditional posters, we will host live lighting talks (3-5min) giving students and professionals a chance to show off their work. The call for abstracts for presentations and lighting talks is open and will close on April 5th. We cannot wait to connect with new colleagues and catch up with friends via the networking timeslots that are worked into the schedule. The meeting opens at 12:30 PM (PDT) each day and sessions start at 1:00 PM with optional networking after the meeting closes at 5:00PM. The virtual meeting will be free to current SoCal and DSW SETAC members and we look forward to seeing everyone in April!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
